Qualifications:	BA - a degree in Economic History FCA – Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
Experience:	Having trained and worked in the City of London, Robert qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1979. Deciding that he wanted to work with small business, he moved first to Kent and then to Somerset in 1983, working with practices of various sizes. In 1993 he achieved his goal of starting his own firm, specialising in small local business and tax clients. He enjoys the challenges of helping clients to resolve all sorts of problems queries and although he likes to take a "hands on" approach with accounts, he has become increasingly involved in business and tax advice and planning for clients at all stages of their lives.
Outside work:	Outside the office Robert tends his fruit and vegetable garden, enjoys walking and plays a side drum in a drum and fife band. He also keeps a few chickens and dreams of the day when a couple of pigs will be rooting around in the orchard at home!

Lisa Haines

Position:	Manager
Qualifications:	BSc (Hons) - a degree in Applied Accounting FCCA – Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants AAT – Association of Accounting Technicians
Experience:	Lisa joined the firm in 2000. Since then she has qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2003 and obtained a Degree in Applied Accounting in 2008. She manages the office, finalising accounts and Tax Returns. She deals with a variety of client structures (companies, partnerships and individuals) and assists with their bookkeeping, accounting and taxation matters, including advice on Tax Credits. She has worked extensively with Sage over the past 10 years and is the firm's main adviser in this area.
Outside work:	In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and playing golf.

Carolyn Ball

Position:	Accounts and Taxation assistant
Qualifications:	ATT – Association of Tax Technicians AAT - Association of Accounting Technicians
Experience:	Carolyn joined the firm in 2004 as an accounting technician. Since then she has qualified as a taxation technician in 2007. She deals with the preparation of accounts and tax returns for a variety of client structures (companies, partnerships and individuals). She also handles the payroll needs of a number of clients.
Outside work:	Carolyn has two teenage sons who take up most of her spare time. She also enjoys walking her dog, camping and gardening.

Anita Coles

Position:	Accounts Assistant
Qualifications:	Qualified by many years of experience.
Experience:	After 20 years working as a bookkeeper, Anita changed career, and after working with various local accounting firms joined Robert Stone & Co in 2007. Her work includes preparing accounts, and tax returns (for sole trader, partnerships & Limited Companies) and preparing VAT returns for various clients.
Outside work:	In her spare time Anita enjoys spending time working in her garden.

Margaret Stone

Position:	Administrator
Qualifications:	Certificate in Education RSA and LCC typing/shorthand/secretarial certificates
Experience:	Margaret is married to Robert and has been involved with the business since its beginning. She spends her mornings as administrator at the National Trust's historic house and gardens at Barrington Court and afternoons in the not-quite-as-historic Old Magistrates Court. As well as the usual administrative work, Margaret also deals with credit control, banking and paying bills, administering the fee protection scheme, and keeping the boss on an even keel. She is also responsible for making sure that there are enough cleaning supplies!
Outside work:	Outside work, Margaret enjoys eating out, walking, reading, cooking, and is a very keen member of a Wine Club!
